Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparator with a fewer number of component parts which is more economical, more accurate, more airtight and watertight, and more resistant than conventional comparators.
SOLUTION: A comparator for measuring and comparing linear dimensions or angular dimensions includes a metal casing 2, two bearings 23 and 24 machined directly in a casing 2, in such a way as to house a sensing probe 3 to be housed through the metal casing 2, two sockets 8 and 9 firmly mounted on the casing 2, a measuring system including a movable part 33 to be driven by the sensing probe 3 and a fixed part mounted firmly on the casing 2, and a housing 10 supported by the sockets 8 and 9 to cover the outside 25 of the casing 2.
