PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving object detector that can maintain a high detection accuracy if there are temperature changes or other changes with time.SOLUTION: A moving object detector 1 includes: a case 4 of synthetic resin, the resin having a detection unit 2 for converting a magnetic change into an electric signal; a cover 5 having a storage space 5c for containing the case 4; storage units 4a1 and 4a2 in an end of the case 4, the storage units containing the detection unit 2; a protrusion 4a4 protruding from the side part of the case 4 near an end of the case; a recess 5b1 in the cover 5, which corresponds to the protrusion 4a4, the protrusion 4a4 having an end side 4a42 larger than a root side 4a41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
