Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication protocol that enables scalable high-speed setting and management of a large-scale P2MP LSP in large-scale MPLS network environment and to accurately inform a tree setting start node of set tree information in tree setting without depending upon tree topology which is set when the P2MP LSP is set.
SOLUTION: MPLS path setting of P2MP is repeatedly set for all P2MP subtrees included in P2MP path indication information. Such P2MP subtree setting is hierarchically set toward upstream nodes to reach a P2MP setting start node, thereby setting an MPLS path of P2MP along a specified P2MP transfer path.
