To provide a material, a structure, and a unit for technologies relating to hydrogen energy.
This material contains a glass 3, and the glass 3 has a function of decomposing hydrogen gas in the atmosphere and dissolving the hydrogen atom or, as a reverse reaction, discharging the dissolved hydrogen as a hydrogen molecule to the atmosphere depending on the partial pressure of the hydrogen, and also a function of decomposing a water molecule in the atmosphere and selectively dissolving the formed hydrogen atom or, as a reverse reaction, discharging the dissolved hydrogen as a water vapor molecule to the atmosphere by the reaction of the dissolved hydrogen with an oxygen in the atmosphere depending on the partial pressure of the water vapor in the atmosphere, and contains at least one selected from the group consisting of a titanium oxide, a niobium oxide, and a tungsten oxide.
