To provide a multi-component waterborne zinc-rich primer which is a powder zinc-rich coating composition suitable for the corrosion resistant protective coating of a metal substrates and has a long pot life.

The multi-component waterborne corrosion resistant coating composition comprises (a) a polymeric component containing polymer particles of a latex polymer having a Tg of -50°C to +50°C and a stabilizing amount of an amine functional curing agent; (b) a crosslinking agent component capable of reacting with the amine functional curing agent with each other; and (c) a corrosion inhibiting component containing a corrosion inhibiting amount of zinc dust, the stabilizing amount of the amine functional curing agent being a sufficient amount to stabilize the polymer particles in the waterborne dispersion in the presence of the corrosion inhibiting component.
