PURPOSE: To provide the multi-function telephone set able to change a type of a call tone based on a subaddress number sent in succession to telephone number data from an ISDN.

CONSTITUTION: The multi-function telephone set is provided with a storage section 3 storing a subaddress number and call tone data representing a type of a call tone in succession to telephone number data corresponding to each other, a voice generating section 4 generating a call tone in response to the call tone data, an incoming call number comparison section 2 comparing a subaddress number sent in succession to the incoming number data at the arrival of a call from a digital communication network with the subaddress number of the telephone number data stored in the storage section 3 and reading and outputting the call tone data corresponding to the subaddress number from the storage section 3 when the subaddress numbers are coincident, and with a control section 8 allowing the voice generating section 4 to generate a relevant call tone based on the call tone data from the incoming call number comparison section 2 and allowing a speaker section 5 to send the tone.
