Abstract:
To provide a multi-stage hydrogen generation apparatus for producing high-purity hydrogen from biomass or coal, which solves the problem of considering a complicated apparatus that is a factor of cost increase.SOLUTION: The hydrogen generation apparatus in which a plurality of heating furnaces and a carbonization/water gasification furnaces are combined side by side. The apparatus comprises: carbonizing biomass or coal; and then supplying steam to carry out a water gasification reaction. The apparatus can convert all carbon components into CO2 since a residence time is sufficient. In the gasification in one stage, it is difficult to completely react all carbon components to CO2 because the apparatus cannot take a sufficient residence time. In addition, in order to remove sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides contained in a small amount, an entire amount of gasification product must be passed through a removal apparatus. In the present invention, only a gas obtained by burning a carbonization gas generated in the carbonization/water gasification furnace needs to be passed through the removal apparatus. Further, since CO is not contained in a water gas, only separation of hydrogen and CO2 is sufficient, and high-purity hydrogen can be easily obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
