Abstract:
PURPOSE: To realize a simple-construction, small-size transfer ink jet printer capable of making high-quality, high-speed recording.
CONSTITUTION: In a recording action, while a transfer belt 1 is continuously fed, a recording head 2 reciprocatively scans the transfer medium 1 crosswise in first and second directions so that a component of speed in a direction of an arrow A coincides with a travel speed of the transfer belt. Recorded areas are formed adjacently to each other by the continuous reciprocative scanning action.
