Title:
MULTI-THREAD CHAIN STITCH MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3391846
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a multi-thread chain stitch machine with multiple needles, which can assuredly pull out an empty loop.
CONSTITUTION: A stitch balancing thread tension device switches a tension at the time of a plain seam and at the time of an empty loop-forming, and when a cloth has been sewn, the tension for a bobbin thread is switched to large, and the tension of a right needle thread is switched to small. A loop supporter 9 is provided on a needle guard 7 which swings together with a looper 4, and a needle thread loop which is formed by a left needle 6 is supported from the right side so that the needle thread loop may not fall down, and the looper 4 may assuredly catch the needle thread loop. A claw piece 14 which is formed on a throat plate is cut off while remaining one part, and the length is made shorter than a conventional one, and the length of a free movement of a needle thread which is connected to the looper 4 is made shorter, and the movement along the looper 4 is reduced. A thread take-up spring is provided on the stitch balancing thread tension device side of a bobbin thread-letting out apparatus, and when a pulling back of the bobbin thread by the bobbin thread letting out apparatus is completed, the bobbin thread which tries to slack is pulled back, and a right needle thread is moved closer to a left needle thread side.
