Abstract:

PURPOSE: To heighten a noise reducing effect at a low cost by forming a muffler at the case of a multiblade fan or in the vicinity of the case.
CONSTITUTION: A multiblade blower is basically formed of a centrifugal multiblade fan 12, a case 14 and a suction box 16. The suction box 16 is formed by integral resin molding using an upper mold and a lower mold and fixed to an upper case 32 by a machine screw or the like, and has a case formed into triangular roof shape cross section. This case has a fresh air intake, and an internal air hole formed on the slant face on the opposite side to the fresh air intake so as to take in internal air. A wall body 48 partitioning an air intake chamber 44 in the case is formed on one side face of the fresh air intake and internal air intake, and the air intake chamber 46 is formed on one side of the wall body 48, while a resonance chamber 50 is formed on the other side of the wall body 48. The resonance chamber 50 serves as a muffler for reducing noise caused by the rotation of the fan.
