PURPOSE: To perform multicolor printing of an object placed on a rotary table which is rotated every predetermined angles intermittently, by a printing mechanism successively at a fixing part, and to correctly position said object by moving said fixing parts by a fixed position restoring mechanisms in association with a printing cylinder during printing.
CONSTITUTION: There are eight fixing parts 3 for placing an object (a) to be printed, which a spaced an equal distance each other in the peripheral direction on the upper surface of a rotary table 1 which is supported by a shaft on a base 2. The rotary table 1 is intermittently and repeatedly rotated and stopped by a prime mover. At this time, the distance of the fixing parts 3 is rendered one pitch. Printing mechanisms 4 are provided respectively above the fixing parts, that is, the first, second, fourth and fifth stop positions from a supply unit A in the rotational direction of the table. Dryers 5 are provided at the third and sixth stop positions. The object (a) is printed each time at the first and second stop positions, thereby to complete printing in two colors. Then, the object (a) is dried at the third stop position. Furthermore, the object (a) is printed each time at the fourth and fifth stop positions, thereby to complete printing in two colors. Thus, printing in four colors is completed. Thereafter, the object (a) is dried at the sixth stop position. The platform 3 of the fixing part is supported by a stopper 16 formed at an end part of a guide element 14 to be kept at the fixed position by a restoring mechanism 15.
