Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor thermal recording material for obtaining fresh red color developing at low temperature with excellent preservability.
SOLUTION: In the multicolor thermal recording material comprising a support, two or more types of dye precursors formed on the support to color develop in different color tones, and a thermal color developing layer containing developable compound for developing color in reaction with the precursor by heating, the layer contains at least one type of low temperature red color developable dye precursor selected from 3-(N-isoamyl-N-ethylamino)-7-methylfluorane, 3-(N-n-hexyl-N-ethylamino)-7-methylfluoran, 3-(N-isobutyl-N-ethylamino)-7- methylfluoran. Further, solution containing polyvalent isocyanate compound as a solvent and dye precursor for color developing in color tone different from that of the red color developable dye precursor as solute is emulsion dispersed in water, and then composite fine p articles obtained by expediting polymerization reaction of the isocyanate compound is contained in the layer.
