Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a stereoscopic image with a simple constitution by using two video signal recording and reproducing circuits and two pairs of magnetic heads on a rotary drum to record/reproduce two video signal simultaneously in/from one magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:Two pairs of video heads A, A' and B, B' are oppositely arranged on the rotary drum 6 with 180 deg. interval. The heads A, B and the head A', B' are respectively arranged on extremely near positions. The magnetic tape 5 is wound around the drum 6. Head switching circuits 6, 8 switch the outputs of recording amplifiers 5, 7 to the corresponding heads A, A' or B, B' in synchronization with the vertical synchronizing signals of video signals 1, 2 and the drum 6 is also synchronized with the vertical synchronizing signal. Thereby, the signals 1, 2 are recorded on the magnetic tape in each vertical synchronization. When the tape carrying sped is set up to twice the normal speed, the heads A, B are almost simultaneously contacted with the tape 5 and fields A1, B1 are respectively recorded. The heads A', B' also record fields A2, B2 similarly.
