Abstract:
PURPOSE:To sufficiently attain efficient video editing by a normal VTR by comparing a video signal read out from a buffer memory of an image input device with a video signal obtained from a storing means and detecting and editing a prescribed picture. CONSTITUTION:A video signal is inputted from an external video apparatus 1 to the image input device 3. The buffer memory 2 for temporarily storing the video signal applied to the device 3 is built in the device 3. The prescribed video signal read out from the memory 2 is previously stored in the storing means 4 as an image signal to be displayed as a super caption. Whether a new video signal successively read out from the memory 2 coincides with the video signal stored in the means 4 or not is decided by a discriminating means 5. When the means 5 judges the coincidence of both the signals, an output corresponding to the judgement is applied to the apparatus 1 or the like to execute the mode control of the apparatus 1 or display of the super caption in the video picture. Consequently, video edition can be sufficiently executed by the normal VTR and a video editing system with a wide generarity can be obtained.
