Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a flame-retardant, highly safe multilayer netty form excellent in cushionability, heat-resistant durability and vibration absorbing ability, and low in toxicity of the combustion gas generated therefrom, thus suitable as a cushioning material.
CONSTITUTION: A polyether-ester elastomer with soft segment fraction (Awt.%) and phosphorus content (B ppm) satisfying the relationship: 60A+200≤B≤10000O and the endothermic peak within the range from room temperature to the melting point and a modified polybutylene terephthalate ≥1000ppm in phosphorus content are delivered at temperatures higher than the melting points by 10-120°C respectively, through multirow nozzles having plural orifices, producing a three-dimensional netty form with hollow or modified cross section continuous filaments each ≤100000 de in fineness in a zigzag fashion and contact points fused. Subsequently, polyester spun- bonded nonwoven fabric ≥1000ppm in phosphorus content is continuously jointed to one side of the netty form on a moving conveyer followed by cooling and then annealing at a temperature 10°C lower than the melting point of the resin constituting the aforementioned continuous filaments, thus obtaining the objective multilayer netty form 0.01-0.2g/cm3 in apparent density with its one side reinforced with the nonwoven fabric.
