To obtain a sheet glass having excellent heat insulating property and high strength even when the glass is thin by including buffer layers which are formed among plural sheets of glass base bodies, which have light transmitting property and elasticity and which absorb force added to the base bodies.
The multilayered sheet glass 10 consists of porous laminated glass plates 11, sheet glass plates 12, metal porous plates 13 and buffer layers 14. The porous laminated glass plates 11 are disposed on the surfaces and in the center of the multilayered sheet glass 10. The sheet glass plates 12 consist of a float sheet glass. The metal porous plates 13 are disposed between the porous laminated glass sheet 11 and the sheet glass plate 12 to reinforce the rigidity of the multilayered sheet glass 10. The metal porous plate 13 is made of, for example, a stainless material. The buffer layer 14 is formed between the porous laminated glass plate 11, the sheet glass plate 12 and metal porous plate 13 to fix these plates. The buffer layer 14 is made of a urethane gel plate and has elasticity so that, when force is added, the layer deforms to absorb the force.
