PURPOSE: To syncronize the display period of the multimedia data display device with the display period of moving image data.
CONSTITUTION: Multimedia data are inputted from a data communication device 101 or data storage means 102, and an additional information reader 111 outputs the data to a moving image buffer device 112 when the input is moving image data or to an other-media buffer device when not. With the additional information of the read moving image data, a controller 131 determines the display period of the display device 122 according to the moving image data display period and sends indications so that a moving image processor 114, another media processor 115, a display composing device 121, and the display device 122 operate at this timing. The moving image data stored in the moving image buffer device 112 are developed into data which can be displayed as one screen on the display device 122, and the data are outputted to the display composing device 121 at the determined display period timing and put together with other media data, so that the multimedia data are displayed on the display device 122.
