Abstract:
To allow a user switch a standby mode or calling talk mode to a wanted radio communication method by a simple operation in the area where a plurality of communication methods are available.
When a user manipulates a standby mode switching operation part 105, an instruction whether to switch to a WCDMA method or GSM method from a standby mode is inputted in a control unit 103. The control unit 103 switches the standby mode to wait in such radio communication method as instructed by manipulation, so that either a first radio 101 corresponding to the WCDMA method or a second radio 102 corresponding to the GSM method is operated. Here, the standby mode that is selected by a standby mode report 104 is reported to a user.
