The multipurpose stand is composed of a member (1) for placing a book, a TV monitor or the like, a support member (2), and a base (3) for fixing the support member. The stand is characterized in that an insertion member fixture (4) capable of attaching and detaching between each member and a freely bendable/foldable member (5) are provided to facilitate disassembling/assembling and that the stand can be compactly folded for storage.
