The musical piece is played based on playing information by a music processing section 105 and lyrics are displayed in synchronization with the playing of the musical piece based on the lyric information corresponding to the playing information by a video processing section 106. When the playing information is changed over to a BGM mode by a remote controller 21 or an operation display section 104 at this time, the display of the lyrics is prohibited during the playing of the musical piece by a musical piece reproduction control section l10.
