Title:
MUSICAL TONE CONTROLLER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2998602
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to instruct the formation of the musical tones meeting the operator's joint actions by exactly detecting these joint actions.
SOLUTION: This controller has operating elements 1L, 1R, angle sensors 2L, 2R, 3R, 4L, 4R, etc. These grip operating elements 1L, 1R are the operating elements to be gripped by the player's right and left hands. Wrist sensors 2L, 2R detect the left and right wrist angles, elbow sensors 3L, 3R the left and right elbow angles and shoulder sensors 4L, 4R the left and right shoulder angles. The timing for stopping the joint action is detectable by investigating the change in the positions of the joint actions. The kinds of the joint actions before the stop timing are detectable as well and therefore, whether, for example, the bending action is stopped or elongating action is stopped is known. The instruction of the formation of the different musical tones is made possible by whether, for example, the stop of the bending action or the stop of the elongating action when the stop timing is detected.
