Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I [A is formula II (R2 is CH3, OH, etc.; n is 0-3), etc.; X is O, S or methylene; R1 is H, alkyl, etc.], and its acid addition salt.
USE: Fungicides.
PROCESS: A substd. spiroheterocycle of formula III (Z is an electron withdrawing group or a leaving group which can undergo a nucleophilic substitution) is reacted with a compound of formula IV in the presence or absence of a diluent and an auxiliary base to give the compound of formula I, which is very effective against a wide variety of phytopathogenic fungi.
