Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an NC lathe having a plurality of main spindles arranged in parallel, and each processing region partitioned by a cover, and capable of securing a sufficient work area when an operator works in the processing region.SOLUTION: The plurality of main spindles are spaced from each other in parallel, at least one cutter holder is disposed corresponding to each main spindle, workpieces fitted to the respective main spindles are processable in parallel, and an openable/closable front door is disposed in the front side corresponding to each main spindle. In processing regions 19 and 29 for processing the workpiece, at least one of cover plates 45 and 65 arranged in the upper for partitioning from other adjacent processing regions or cover plates 46 and 66 arranged on the side part is disposed. The cover plates 45, 46, 65, and 66 arranged in the respective processing regions 19 and 29 move back and forth along the axes of the corresponding main spindles by a back-and-forth moving mechanisms 47 and 67.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
