To provide a nail contour detection device, a printing device, a nail contour detection method, and a program capable of appropriately detecting a nail contour without regard to a color applied to the nail as an undercoat.SOLUTION: A device comprises: pixel information acquisition means which acquires a value on pixels in a detected area Ar detected from an image including a nail with an under coat; learning model generation means which corrects a first learning model for nail contour detection stored in a storage unit 32, on the basis of the difference between a value on pixels in an undercoated area in the first learning model and a value on the pixels in the detected area Ar and generates a second learning model for nail contour detection; and detection means which when the second learning model is generated by the leaning model generation means, detects the contour of the undercoated area as a nail contour TL out of the image, by applying the second learning model.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
