PURPOSE: To automatically extract unknown words from a Japanese-language sentence and to easily register them in a dictionary data base.
CONSTITUTION: This device is characterized by providing an input part 1 which inputs the Japanese-language sentence, a sentence storage part where the inputted Japanese-language sentence is stored, a dictionary part 7 where reading information of many words including KANJI (Chinese character) are stored, an analysis part for language analysis of the Japanese-language sentence, an extracting part 3 which uses the results of language analysis to collectively extract words not registered in a dictionary part 7 as unknown words from the inputted Japanese-language sentence, and a preserving part 9 which preserves extracted words.
