Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form the efficient communication satellite system by providing a transmitter which sends maximum power over specific bandwidth and has a power spectrum for maintaining the density limit of specific power and a receiver which receives a spread spectrum signal by a small-aperture directional antenna. CONSTITUTION: An earth station transmitter 9 generates a spread signal by a spread sequence generator 12 with a spread signal chip signal f(C) synchronized with the data signal of a data signal source 11. Then an exclusive OR circuit 13 generates an SiNX/X spread vector signal from the spread signal and data signal by regarding X as a frequency. Through a filter 15, this spread vector signal has an amplitude along the upper limit of 6dBW over per bandwidth of a 4KHz frequency component, for example, transmission bandwidth to maximize the transmission output of a satellite. Then the receiver 10 of an earth station receives the spread spectrum signal sent with a satellite down link carrier by the small-aperture directional antenna 22.
