PURPOSE: To simply, rapidly and accurately measure the amt. of an admixture by stagnating the volatile component generated from the surface of uncured concrete in the recessed part formed in the lid part of a container and introducing the same into a measuring device through the circulating pipe piercing the lid part.
CONSTITUTION: A definite amt. of ready-mixed concrete 10 to be measured is injected in a container 1 so as to reach the flange part 1a of the container 10 and covered with a lid part 2 to be hermetically closed through a packing 30. A volatile component is circulated into a circulating pipe 5 by operating a pump 9 to uniformize the concn. of the volatile component within the recessed part 2a of the lid part 2 and the circulating pipe 5. Next, when the hot wire type smell sensor 8 mounted on the way of the circulating pipe 5 is operated to be brought into contact with the volatile component, the smell sensor 7 measures the concn. of the volatile component. The output of the smell sensor 8 is applied to a CPU operation device 12 to be converted to the amt. of an admixture from a relational chart of amt.-of-admixture/measured indicated value and the output of the operation device 12 is displayed on an LCD display device 14 and printed out to a printer 13.
