PURPOSE: To obtain a color tone controlling system capable of carrying out color toning having high accuracy by using a computer in a short time without requiring sensory judgment by applying fuzzy theory and without needing specific experienced technology.

CONSTITUTION: Color of appearance and coated color of cosmetic are measured, a fuzzy frequency value is obtained by correspondence of the measured value and a membership function related to color matching of coated color, multiplications of fuzzy frequency value of the color of appearance and the coated color are integrated, the multiplication integrated value is connected to a member function related to a color material control based on the rule of if-then type and a corrected amount of color material is outputted from the center of gravity of the addition integration.
