Abstract:
PURPOSE: To always enable a stable passing operation, in a rolling work using a multistage hot rolling mill, by securing the accuracy of a rolling reduction device and a rolling load measuring device with a special method and thereby optimizing the balance in setting the position of the rolling reduction device in the operating side and driving side.
CONSTITUTION: In a multistage hot mill provided with a rolling load measuring device, working roll and reinforcing roll, the upper and the lower working rolls are brought into contact with each other by operating a rolling reduction device in a non-rolling state while the rolls are rotated with a lubricating oil supplied to the contacting part between the rolls. In addition, a rolling reduction device is set in, the zero point is adjusted of the rolling down device in accordance with the output of the rolling load measuring device so that the load actuating between the upper and lower working rolls is evenly distributed on the operating side and the driving side, and then, the rolling down device is set on the operating side and the driving side.
