Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an adaptive communication receiver which includes a channel estimation device and a sequence estimation device and performs the transfer of data. CONSTITUTION: A channel estimation device 90 has a knot training signal that estimates a channel and a recursive minimum square algorithm that uses the past decision. A sequence estimation device 70 has a new recursive algorithm using the channel estimation to estimate a sequence of information sent via a channel. A receiver uses the common property secured between both devices 70 and 90 to ensure the effective execution and also has a degree of nonlinear change and a low degree of complexity. If mismatching of channels is detected, the performance has a higher degree of reliability than a linear/decision feedback equalization circuit.
