PURPOSE: To nip the block such as side groove cover block (so-called flat plate shaped block), L shaped side groove block (so-called block having an erection wall), and I shaped protecting block (so-called square shaped block), etc., from one surface side and suspend the block on the slightly front side from the position of the center of gravity of the block, and transport the block surely in stable manner.

CONSTITUTION: A block nipping tool which surely nips a side groove block A is constituted of a nipping tool body 1 which is covering-fitted in nipped form from one surface side of the side groove cover block A and has a nearly U shape on the side plane view, side groove cover block A which is constituted so that the top part of the upper frame 21 of the nipping tool body 1 is extended slightly forwardly from the position of the suspension center of gravity of the side groove cover block A and engaged with an engagement part 6 installed at the top part of the upper frame 21, and a suspending cable 5 for the nipping tool body 1.
