Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve an engine fuel consumption ratio by reducing fan shaft horse power of a fan by the cooling device of a heat exchanger, improve assembly workability, manufacture it in a low cost, and output cooling performance to a maximum limit.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a fan 20 for applying cooling air flow to a heat exchanger 23, an engine for rotating the fan 20, and a cylindrical shroud 24 for housing the fan 20 in an inner space. An axial fan is used in the fan 20, the shroud 24 is provided with a fan circumferential part 24a, the fan circumferential part 24a is formed in a bell mouse shape, and the value of cover ratio which is defined on the basis of relative positioning relation of the width of the blade 20b of the fan 20 in relation to the shape of the fan circumferential part 24a is set to be a range of 41 to 70%. The cover ratio of 60% is optimal, and the fan 20 may be the axial fan provided with a Y-type blade.
