Abstract:
PURPOSE: To continuously and rapidly brush and degrease a thin wire of copper or copper alloy with aq. alkali.
CONSTITUTION: A wire 1 of copper or copper alloy having ≤0.2mm thickness is traveled through a degreasing tank 6 at a speed of ≥100m/min, an alkaline degreasing soln. is sprayed over the wire 1 from sprays 4 and 5, and the wire is brushed by a brushing roll 3 and degreased. The brake angle θ of a backup roll 2 to the opposed position of the brush in contact with the wire 1 is controlled to 0.5-5° and the tension of the wire 1 to 1.5-2.5kg/mm2.
