CONSTITUTION: The inspecting apparatus has a mounting inspecting unit on a mounting line, receives a work 9 manufactured in a mounting unit of a previous process 6 to inspect propriety of the unit of the work 9, and comprises an absolute criterion A having a predetermined acceptance range for deciding propriety of a mounting state in the inspecting unit 7, a line monitoring reference L of a narrower range than the acceptance range of the criterion A therein, and previous process operating state deciding means 10 for judging the operating state of the unit of the process 6 based on inspection data out of the range of the reference L.
