Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INSPECTING EGG
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3047168
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize eggs qualities by measuring an intensity-distribution in a specific wavelength-region of an intercepted light spectrum and effectively detecting bloody eggs including tramp blood, clots and meat fragments.
SOLUTION: Bloody eggs including tramp blood, clots and meat fragments, are detected by measuring an intensity-distribution in a specific wavelength region of an intercepted light spectrum by using an inspecting method for eggs having a specific wave length either in a projection means 12 or an image-pickup means 14 or in both of them and an inspecting device equipped with an optical filter, which permits lights in the inspecting device region, to carry out a measuring treatment based on numerical evaluation of intensity differences from picture images in the range of 550-650 nm from the picture images of eggs 20 photographed by transmitted lights scattered inside and prevented from diffractions on the surface of shells by the projecting means 12 which projects lights to focus on the surface of eggs 20 in an environment shielded from disturbance-lights. It is preferable to detect broken eggs having broken shells by measuring areas, a distribution, etc., of concatenated components in a pattern of broken shape in a bright area based on a lightness-difference caused by breaking of the shell depending on an information such as the variable density-difference of the picture image, etc.
