Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent entry of people into a zone where a dangerous gas exists with an alarm of the existence of the gas by a method wherein a port of a container housing an stinking substance is closed at the tip of a nozzle for discharging a gas with a nozzle and a sealing plate and the sealing is released by discharging the gas to spray the stinking substance at an opening together with an extinguishing gas.
CONSTITUTION: A port of a container 6 housing an stinking substance is sealed at the tip of a nozzle 1 for discharging a gas with a nozzle 1 and a sealing plate 7 and the sealing is released by discharging the gas to spray the stinking substance together with an extinguishing gas at an opening 5. In this manner, the gas for extinguishing which is repellent to people is attached to the gas for extinguishing and keeps the people from approaching a zone filled with a dangerous gas when a fire occurs there thereby enabling the prevention of endangering the people. This only requires the modification at a nozzle part of a gas-based fire extinguisher equipped, hence reducing costs.
