PURPOSE: To obtain a water current type oil recovery apparatus which recover oil from waste water containing oil which is floating on water utilizing relative currents.

CONSTITUTION: In a water current type oil recovery apparatus 10 in which waste water containing oil is introduced into an apparatus main body utilizing relative currents which are generated by the advance of a hull, purified water is discharged after the oil being recovered from waste water, a non-power type negative pressure generating means is installed in the purified water discharging opening, and a negative pressure zone is formed near the outside of the opening. In the apparatus 10, since purified water is discharged forcibly by being sucked constantly after oil being recovered by the action of the negative pressure zone formed by a non-power type negative pressure generating means 16, a large amount of waste water can be introduced, and oil recovery work can be done efficiently.
