PURPOSE: To prepare a register for forming a receipt of articles for special sale without requiring much labor in a shop adopting a POS system for a discount shop.

CONSTITUTION: A storage controller 1 is provided with a special sale register specifying memory 13 to store the register number of a special sale register. In addition, the controller 1 is provided with a normal price commodity master 11 and a special sale price master 12. A commodity code for a special sale commodity is read out by the special sale register as it is. The register transfers the register number and the commodity code to the controller 1. The controller 1 refers the master 12 based upon the register number and returns the special sale price of the commodity to the register.
