By employing such constitution, it is possible to release depression on the platen roller 4 of the thermal head 1 which presses the platen roller 4 when the roll paper cover 8 is closed by moving the thermal head 1 depressively by turning the bracket 11 based on the position change of the, slot 10 due to the opening operation of the roll paper cover 8.
