Abstract:
To provide a nano-hole structure and a magnetic recording medium capable of exhibiting soft magnetic characteristics without increasing coercive force due to shape magnetic anisotropy, thereby obtaining a sufficient recording magnetic field.
The nano-hole structure includes a substrate and a nano-hole having a prescribed depth from a surface of the substrate and having a diameter at a bottom side larger than that at the surface side. It is preferable that the nano-hole includes a first region having a first length from the surface of the substrate and a second region at a bottom side from the first region, the second region having a diameter larger than that of the first region and having a second length to the bottom.
