Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a novel naphthalene deriv. useful as a herbicide.
CONSTITUTION: The compd. of formula I [Q is O, S, NR (R, is H, alkyl); R' is H, alkyl; R2 to R4 are H, hydroxyl, amino, cyano, etc.; R5 to R7 are H, halogen, alkyl alkoxy, etc.; Z is N-R8 or formula II (R8 is H, hydroxyl, substd. alkyl, etc.; R9 is H, halogen, cyano, etc.; R10 is formyl, cyano, etc.)]; for example, 2-(4,6-dimethoxypyriquizine-2-il-oxy)-1-napthoaldehydephenyl hydrazone. The compd. is obtd. by bringing the carbonyl compd. corresponding to formula III and the amino compd. or methylene compd. of the formula H2Z into reaction at 0 to 150°C in a solvent (toluene) in the presence of a reaction assistant (e.g.; ammonium acetate) at need.
