Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the tension of a belt laid on an on board belt device while eliminating the effect of background noise.
SOLUTION: A vibration waveform detected by a microphone 3 is amplified by an amplifier (amplifying means) 12, shaped by a comparator 5 (waveform shaping means), and then supplied to a belt natural frequency detecting part. A gain regulator 13 has a means for detecting the level of background noise from the vibration waveform outputted from the waveform shaping means 5. It automatically regulates the amplification gain of the amplifying means 12 to the lower side when the background noise level is a scheduled value or higher, and to the higher side when it is lower than the scheduled value.
