This navigation device includes: an each-lane congestion information acquisition part 23 for acquiring front congestion information of each lane, during traveling along a guide route; an on-route traveling lane acquisition part 25 for acquiring information of a lane to be traveled; a lane congestion determination part 27 for determining whether own vehicle is affected by a congestion or not, by comparing congestion information obtained by the each-lane congestion information acquisition part with information of the lane to be traveled obtained by the on-route traveling lane acquisition part; a route calculation part 28 for calculating an avoiding route for avoiding a congestion, when determined by the lane congestion determination part that own vehicle is affected by the congestion; a comparison guide information calculation part 29 for calculating a difference between a guide route and the avoiding route; and an output part 30 for outputting the difference calculated by the comparison guide information calculation part.
