Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide a course more definitely for a user by selecting a road segment enterable from a target intersection as a target road segment at the time of searching a course thereby simplifying the course guide.
SOLUTION: A course is guided using a road segment data base and a goal on an intersection is routed. The system searches all road segments having node on the target intersection. The target intersection N has five segments Seg1, 2, 3, 4, 5 extending to the intersection and a target road list is edited for segments Seg1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and the nodes associated nodes with these segments located at the intersection N. Subsequently, undesired road segments are removed from the edited list in a target segment selection process. The segment is removed by searching the edited target road segment list and determining a segment not enterable from the intersection N.
