Abstract:
To provide a neutron imaging device comprising a position resolution with higher resolution than before.SOLUTION: A neutron imaging device comprises: a neutron detection substance; a first particle detection element which is generated by nuclear reaction of the neutron detection substance and a neutron, with heat energy, and which is formed of a superconducting material in which an electronic state is changed when receiving heat energy of one particle out of at least two particles radiated to different directions; and a second particle detection element which is formed of a superconducting material in which an electronic state is changed when receiving heat energy of the other particle. The first and second particle detection elements are arranged on positions where they face each other with a predetermined interval sandwiching the neutron detection substance therebetween, and a position, where nuclear reaction of the neutron detection substance is generated, is detected based on a detection position of the one particle detected by the first particle detection element and a detection position of the other particle detected by the second particle detection element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
