Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutron scintillator, neutron detector, and neutron detection method capable of accurately measuring neutrons even in a field with a high dose of a gamma-ray to be background noise.SOLUTION: A neutron scintillator includes as components: a resin composition including inorganic phosphor particles containing at least one kind of neutron capture isotope to be selected from lithium 6 and boron 10; and wavelength conversion fibers at least a part of which is enclosed in the resin composition. The resin composition includes: a first cylindrical area for enclosing an outer periphery of the wavelength conversion fiber; and a second area positioned on an outer side of the first area. A density of the inorganic phosphor particles in the first area is lower than a density of the inorganic phosphor particles in the second area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
