NEW MATERIAL: A compd. represented by formula I [wherein X1 and X2 and H, X3 is H, OH or an alkoxy, X1 and X3 are combined to form a C-C bond, X2 is H and X1 and X2 form carbonyl along with C to which X1 and X2 are bonded, X3 is H, A1 is an alkylene, A2 is an alkylene, R1 is H, a halogen, NO2, NH2 or alkyl, R2 is H, a halogen, OH or alkoxy and R1 and R1 are combined to form an alkylenedioxy, R3 is H, an alkyl or alkenyl and R4 is a group represented by formula II (wherein n is 0 or 1, R5 is H, a halogen or alkyl, R6 is H, a halogen, OH or CN and R1 is H, a halogen or alkyl)].
EXAMPLE: 2,3-Dimethoxy[3-(N-methyl-N-(2-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethyl)amino) propyl]-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-5H-benzocycloheptene.
USE: This new material is useful for treating and preventing ischemic heat disease and treating sinus tachycardia.
PROCESS: A compd. represented by formula III and a compd. represented by formula IV (wherein one of Z1 and Z2 is R3-NH and the other one of them is an eliminable group) are reacted to obtain the compd. represented by the formula I.
