EXAMPLE: 3-Bis-(3-N, N-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide.

USE: A reagent for the synthesis of amide bond of protein, peptide, sugar and nucleic acid or in the field of general organic synthesis.

PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced e.g. by reacting an amine of formula V with urea and dehydrating the resultant compound of formula VI.
