Abstract:
To separate and identify a useful new compound existing in royal jelly.
The new decenoic acid derivative is expressed by general formula (1) (R is SO3H, PO3H2, HO(CH2)9COO(CH2)9CO, HO(CH2)7CO, HOOC(CH2)8CO, HO(CH2)9CO or CH3(CH2)6C(OH)CH2CO). The decenoic acid derivative or its salt is usable for attaining an effect relating to antitumor action, antibacterial action, hypotensive action, insulin-like action, etc., from its chemical structure.
