To provide a new useful drink or food which effectively uses the many fruits of Kyoho (R) (a kind of grape) having been treated as wastes and has a health-promoting function, and to provide a method for producing the same.
The new drink or food has a health-promoting function due to an anti-oxidizing action and contains a processed product (including a juice) prepared by mashing or crushing Kyoho (R) babies having (a) a polyphenol content of about 138 to 94 mg per 100 mL of the juice and (b) a tartaric acid content of about 0.90 to 0.85 g per 100 mL of the juice and collected by grape bunch-picking (bunch-dropping) works performed during about 20 to 50 days after the flowering of Kyoho (R) at a plurality of positions (small branches on which the bunches of Kyoho (R) are formed) extended from the branches of the trees of Kyoho (R), or their fruits, seeds or skins. The method for producing the same is provided.
